Jonathon Labonne: Sure. Use some monitoring tool like Protemac Keybag or Actymac Dutywatch (a more advanced one) to control your child's internet activity.
Dorethea Beaston: it depends what website or show is on
Kassie Kay: Monitored internet is better
Pasty Cobbett: Both internet and television can be bad in their own ways. But there are lots of harmless stuff out there. You should find some good websites that have all harmless kid-like games on it. The television is a little worse. I know these kids who only have kids channels and are still a little..... well they're not as intelligent as people could be without television. I'd say television is worse, because at least with computer games, there is actually skill required, while the television just requires their eyes to stare at a screen all day. The computer, in my opinion, is the best option, but keep it limited. Just find out what sites are fun and kid-friendly :b...Show more
Jade Ohno: Tel! evision is worse. Far worse. The internet is actually fantastic for learning.
Toshiko Reimers: Television is the worst, it requires no interaction or manipulation and therefore no real learning.
Randall Twehous: 1. IF it isn't your kid it isn't any of business. 2. Television can be educational.3, If you make them read they will hate reading.
Ervin Laeger: Speed for downloading movies is fine. I get 7GB movie files in about an hour on a good day. Speed for online gaming is more than adequate but ping times to the US or the UK do suck a bit (understandably) so depending on the type of game you're playing it can be an issue. Shooters, RPG's and racing games it isn't an issue but multiplayer sports games are a bit laggy, not because of speed but rather, long ping times.
