Eliseo Luma: divertissement
Maritza Ebanks: entertainment /ËentÉ'teɪnmÉnt/. noun. (non dénombrable) divertissement m, distractions fpl; for sb's ~ pour le divertissement de qn; ...www.wordreference.com/enfr/entertainment - Cached - Similarâº#
Serita Hefferon: Divertissement works the best I think. There are also : amusement, distraction, loisir, récréation; depending on the sense.Entertainment come from entertain + -ment, entertain comes from Old French (and modern) entretenir (which has broad senses) + the Old French suffix -ment which create nouns from verbs. There is no longer word such as "entretenement" in french, but "entretien" which means actually "upkeep", "well-being", "interview"... That's for the history....Show more
Frank Gazaway: Divertissement is ok, représentation doesn't work here.
