Marcia Cheathan: you probably just got milked by a 'shop'. Depending upon the year, make and model, I would replace the timing belt and set the timing for 200 tops. You should have went to someone that wasn't into financial raping
Claudio Drullard: talk to the shop.most will work with you.sounds like a miss diagnose
Renita Sefton: After a certain amount of time, they can sell the car for whats owed, since they can place a labor lien against the car in most areas, and filing with the court system can be sold as an abandoned vehicle. You should be able to go in during their business hours and get your personal belongings out of the car.
Ty Kirton: I think $1300 is a lot for replacing a timing belt. If you can't pay for the repair they will keep your car. They should let you get your items out though.
