Vernon Martorana: dont fret. theres really no such thing as a DV terminal on a computer, unless you mean firewire. so as long as you have usb or firewire on your computer, youll be fine. your camera will have usb and firewire, so depending on which cable you have you can use either. hope this helps!
Toby Women: From your question, my interpretation is you don't have video capture card.Answering your question about using USB port, it depend if your camcorder include a USB cable for you to transfer video from your camcorder to PC, if it does, all you need is install the software that comes with your camcorder, use this to transfer the video from camcorder to PC via USB port.If not, then you will need a third party software like ULead to acquire the video from your camcorder....Show more
Charissa Riley: I'm pretty sure they have DV to USB cords. Or something that will convert a USB port into a DV. That just plugs in or something. Here's a site to check out. http:! //www.usbfirewire.com/Parts/rr-527950.html
Jill Thomer: To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to convert firewire (DV) to USB. You could get a usb video capture device (e.g., Hauppauge), but the quality wouldn't be as good as you would be converting to analog to get the signal.I would simply suggest purchasing a firewire card for your PC. They're easy to install and not too expensive (well under $50 if you shop around)....Show more
Randa Hessell: If you live in the US this is a PCI board that will give you 2 Firewire ports:http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?loc=101&sku=...$20, what a deal.
