What are some good particular books about repairing problems that involve plumbing, carpeting, leaks, etc...?

Reyes Brunell: Hello,I am also in the same boat as you, I just purchased my first home this year (Feb). Luckily for me my dad is a carpenter, but nobody knows everything. Lately if I ever have a problem I turn to YouTube. There are many professional's that create videos on How To's, and guides to owning house. For instances I recently had to install studs above my fireplace to hang a TV. I didn't install the studs, but I had to patch the 3 by 3 whole in the wall. So after watching a few youtube videos I was able to slowly repair the wall and I personally think it looks great. So if you ever come across a project within the house, I would first look to youtube and see if someone has posted a tutorial....Show more

Mel Crapo: I have no books that come to mind, but your local library is crammed full of construction/renovation books, YouTube is extremely helpful too as you get to actually see the process of how something is done.
