how to use bleach, chlorine for laundry?

Derrick Kloke: I wouldn't use it on a regular basis. It will weaken the fabrics and change the colors if you use it on colored items. The only time I use bleach is when I have stained or yellowed white clothes. Follow the directions on the label on the bottle and rinse well. Some people with sensitive skin cannot tolerate bleach at all so be careful. And never use it on anything but white items.

Kristina Brockwell: as far as chlorine bleach use i am a firm believer in the cleaning and disinfecting properties of bleach. the way i usually use bleach in my laundry is the fill the washer first with water and then add the bleach, afterwards the clothes. if you fear the bleach is to strong on your clothing after one rinse do a second rinse cycle. when using chlorine and you cannot use a second rinse cycle use less and no i don't believe you can catch disease from shared machines especially when using bleach....Show more

Jeremy Donohue: Chlorine bleach will take the colour out of your clothes, and make the colours run in the wash. There are other bleaches to use in the wash which remove stains but are safe for colours. I use Napisan. I use Canistan Rinse to take care of any fungal problems.You can use an antiseptic or disinfectant to run through the machine before doing your own wash.
