Jess Grizzel: Hispanics without a doubt just by sheer number. Remember the commercial with The Frito Bandido. I loved it. However, the Hispanics thought it was an insult and Frito Lay succumbed to the pressure.
Darwin Ecton: Corporations have the money to back them up. However, the hispanic groups are extremely vocal and irrational. They use the race card because they know it worked for AAs.
Verdie Wollen: Corporations are not the ones seeking cheap labor, Its select small businesses in the private sector that are hiring illegals and paying them under the table. Unless of course the illegals are applying to major chains (such as Wal Mart) with false documentation. No doubt in my mind that both situations happen, and have happened however in the case of a major corporation, should it get busted for hiring illegals has that false documentation to fall back on.As far as political clout, I'd say the corporations have more pull. Or rather: if and when it comes d! own to dollars and cents the corporations would have more pull. Whoever can contribute more money to a politician's re-election gets served first. On the other hand, whatever issues a politician can exploit to gain support and votes will be their platforms for re-election. The Platform is the Smoke, the Politician is the Mirror, and the campaign's Financial Contributors are the Magician's Other Hand....Show more
Derick Kinnard: Corporations don't care! If the criminals get rewarded they will just go get more criminals and the ones here that were rewarded will go on welfare (if they aren't already there) and the average American gets to foot the bill! A win-win situation for corporate greed!
